Giving thanks for our blessings

Good morning fam! How are we all doing this morning? Are we all good? Blessed? Isn’t it great to be able to wake up on such a wonderful, glorious morning? To, To, To wake up in God’s presence, and accept the blessings of our Father in Heaven? The blessings of something to eat? Something to drink? Yeah, you coffee drinkers you know what I’m talking about, don’t you? The blessings of children, family, friends! How about the blessings of transportation to get you all where you need to go today?

Brothers and sisters, that’s what I want to talk with you about today. Last week I talked about how we need to come together, end the hate, end the fighting, and just love one another as Jesus and our Father in Heaven would want us to do. This week I want to talk about our blessings, and how we should be thankful to our fellow humans, even if we may not like them, like what their wearing, or even how they combed or brushed their hair.

See God, yes our Father in the highest, puts people in our lives because HE feels, brothers and sisters, HE feels those are the people we need. Getting that all-important cup of coffee in the morning? HE put that barista, coffee attendant, cashier, whomever and whatever they go by, HE put them there, in that place, at that time, for you. That person is a blessing, and we should all be thankful to that person for being there.

That gas station attendant, yeah you see where I’m going with this. That gas station attendant is there when you fill up on your fuel for your vehicle, for a reason, God has that person there, in your life, at that specific time, that specific moment, so you can fuel up, and be on your way, that’s not just coincidence or happenstance. We should be thanking that person for being there, for waking up and coming into work, and working their scheduled shift because that’s a blessing!

Then, brothers and sisters, we should be thanking God for that person, for that smooth transaction, because HE deserves our praise, and without HIM, that person wouldn’t be there.

If you are that barista, that gas station attendant, that cashier, you should be thankful for that job, even though it may be hard, or tiresome, even though you just worked 12 hours and the boss needs you to stay through the rush, dinner or breakfast, maybe lunch, you should be thanking God for those extra hours, even though you feel tired, think about that overtime on your next payday.

By simply changing what we say and how we say it, we can make someone’s day. Instead of just thanking them for our change, or for ringing us out, “thank you” or “thanks” and switching it to “thank you for being here,” “thank you for your service,” “thank you for coming in to work today, I really appreciate you.” We can put a smile on their face, make them feel like they are worth something, and by spreading the love, the kindness, by simply thanking someone for just being them, WE can start to mend this world, we can start to show Godliness.

By putting that positivity out into the universe brothers and sisters, that positivity will come back to us, some call it Karma, some call it the boomerang effect, no matter what you call it, God is always behind it.

1 Peter chapter 4 verse 10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” (yes, I used this one last week, but you know what, I really do love this passage and it speaks volumes to where God wants us to be)

Luke chapter 6 verse 38 “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

This is where I mentioned earlier whatever you say and do, it will come back to you. THAT is the will of God, brothers, and sisters.

Philippians chapter 2 verse 1-11 “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,”

Galatians chapter 6 verse 9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Hebrews chapter 6 verse 10-12 “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises”

By showing others Kindness, love, and by caring about them, their well-being, we can start to put an end to the opposition, hate, wars, and other man-made evils and we can truly start to see the healing that will take place and bring us all back together as one people, under a great and divine spirit. Our Father in Heaven.

As you go about your day, visit stores, fuel stations, donut shoppes, and various other places that you may stop at today, practice these teachings, thank that person for being them, thank them for coming in and watch the changes happen all around you. Just a few kind words can turn a person’s day right around, and you can see the change happen.

Thank you for being who you are, thank you for your time, thank you for being the blessing that I needed today. Go with God my brothers and sisters.
