“Lord God, I’m sorry for not opening my past sermons, our past services with prayer first, from now on though, we Promise to open with prayer and give you the praise you deserve. My brothers and sisters and I ask that you enter our hearts, fill our spirits, and be with us as we learn, grow, and mature in reverence to you. YOU are THE MIGHTY GOD, our MIGHTY FATHER, and we know it’s YOU who guide us, speak through us, and watch over us, we know that if we quiet our hearts and our minds it’s much easier to hear you, listen to you, and follow YOUR guidance. We have more than 10,000 reasons to love you, worship you, and sing your praises, and you FATHER GOD, YOU deserve everything we have to give. Bless my ministry, bless my congregation, and bless the lesson you have for us today LORD. ~Amen”

Brothers and sisters, we do have ten thousand reasons to be thankful every day, more than ten thousand reasons to sing praises to the LORD, to give thanks, to worship HIM every chance we get. HE deserves our respect, our thanks, and we should be HUMBLED by HIS generosity, the many BLESSINGS HE showers us with, the MERCY HE shows us, the GRACE that HE alone grants us. We’re not very worthy of the love our FATHER shows us, are we?

Between the sins we commit every day, the disappointment we become, we as a people, we as a whole, haven’t done anything to EARN HIS gifts, but that’s the beauty, isn’t it? We don’t have to earn anything see our religion is unique, there is nothing we have to do to earn HIS love, HIS kindness, as long as we ACCEPT HIS SON, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, into our lives, accept HIM into our homes, our businesses, and most importantly our hearts. We receive the full benefits of what GOD our FATHER has to offer.

Some people might say but it’s not enough to just accept, but I’m here to tell you, yes it is enough, there is one stipulation though, you have to FULLY accept JESUS into your life, you need to change your ways and stop doing the things that we all know we shouldn’t be doing anyway. We need to start praying more, giving thanks to HE who makes the day new, HE who puts air in our lungs, HE who heals us when we’re hurting.

In order to fully accept Jesus into our lives, in order to give HIM the proper RESPECT he deserves brothers and sisters, through prayer we need to start listing and recognizing everything HE does for us, from the beautiful sunrises at dawn, to the sunsets in the evening, from the food on our tables, to the jobs we hold that pay for those meals EVERYTHING we have is a gift, and HE can take it away or allow it to be taken away just as easily as it is given.

IF you don’t believe me, take a look at JOB,

Job chapter 1 verses 1 through 3 says “In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 2 He had seven sons and three daughters, 3 and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yokes of oxen, and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.”

Job chapter 1 verses 6 through 12 continues “One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” 9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” 12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man, himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Job chapter 1 verses 13 through 22 Finishes with “One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” 17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them, and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” 20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,

and naked I will depart.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.

may the name of the Lord be praised.”

22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

The book of Job continues with him getting sick, developing boils and it just gets worse from here, GOD allowed Lucifer to enter JOB’s life and take away everything including his health, and Job was loyal, did he deserve all the evil and wrongdoing that Lucifer, Satan, had delt out? No, he didn’t, Job was more of an upright believer and worshiper than you or I could ever imagine being, but GOD allowed these things to happen, HE allowed these things to come to pass because HE was testing JOB, just like HE tests us today. That’s no reason for us to falter, to give up, and it’s no reason to deny JESUS in our lives.

Every day we are given 4 or 5 opportunities to show others what being a Christian is really all about, if you’re walking around saying you hate this person, or you really like this guy or girl but you already have someone significant in your life, you’re not really proving anything other than the fact you’re just like everyone else, SEE brothers and sisters, when we ACCEPT JESUS, we are held to a higher standard of living, we are HELD to a higher standard of being because now we’re no longer just part of a religion, we are active participants of a RELATIONSHIP that stretches past time and space, a relationship that spans generations.

WHEN you ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH into YOUR LIVES, you are accepting, eternal love, boundless forgiveness, and more blessings than you can ever possibly imagine. Even when we are tested just as JOB was, we are still protected, GOD our FATHER will never give you more than you can handle. Let me rephrase, HE will never give you more than you can handle on your own, when you realize that you’re no longer alone, in this miraculous and amazing relationship you have JESUS to lean on, you have our FATHER to draw strength from, YOU will become the STORM that SATAN HIMSELF FEARS.

It is written that when GOD speaks, EVEN SATAN listens. Luke chapter 10 verses 16 through 20 tells us this 16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me, but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Brothers and sisters, we have so many things to be thankful for, to be grateful for, our health, our senses, our abilities, and our gifts, for our family and or friends, and we just need to recognize that what we do have, what we are able to witness, create, and even do for others is the true blessing. I can’t tell you; I can’t even describe for you what it means to me personally when I can do something for someone and bless them with whatever I can give and they are truly grateful, truly thankful, and just beaming with happiness, simple love, simple gifts, simple actions performed through love and caring, they touch me so deeply that I start to weep, when someone thanks me, I always tell them, my dear child, it wasn’t me, give thanks to the one who made it possible, give thanks to OUR FATHER for HE is the one who made it possible.

Now I’ll admit, sometimes, and I do mean sometimes I forget, I’m only human and I’ll just say “you’re welcome” without giving a second thought, but even in those times, I give thanks to GOD for the thank you’s I receive because, without HIS guidance, I couldn’t do what I do for others. The next time you’re out and about, and you help someone struggling, or you pay for someone’s cart, or petrol, or even their meal, and they say thank you, tell them to thank the ONE who made it possible, and see the change, see the GLOW, look and SEE CHRIST through them. It will change your life.

I’m going to close today with this, Be kind to others, be slow to anger, try and understand what the situation is before opening your mouth, and bless as many people you come in contact with as humanly possible whether it’s just saying Merry Christmas, or discussing the Bible with them, bless them with a cup of coffee or tea, help those in need, and be generous in love.

“Father we ask that your words fill us, penetrate us, and renew our relationship with you, we ask YOU FATHER, that YOU be with us, watch over us, and protect us from those who wish to do us harm. When we tire, grant us the strength to keep going. When we anger, calm our hearts and heal us so we may continue to show what it means to truly be a follower of YOUR word. Father grant us the understanding we need to make it through our day-to-day and be with us always. Thank you for the opportunities that come our way, and thank you for the many blessings you shower us with every single day. Bless you, Lord for you never falter, Praise you, Father, for you follow through with all your promises, YOU are the reason for our being, YOU are the reason for our freedoms, and you deserve all that we have, and all that we can give. And all your people say ~Amen”
