Ok, Let’s get started. Today I want to talk with you about our daily battles, how we all go through some rough times, whether they be just bumps in the road or a full-blown thunderstorm, we all go through something every day of our lives. The wonderful and glorious thing about that is God is with us, God strengthens us and if the battle you are facing seems too great for you, then it’s not your battle it’s God’s and you need to hand it over to HIM.
See God wants us to learn from our mistakes, grow in wisdom and learn to take care of ourselves most often that’s why he gave us free will, but WE brothers and sisters, WE are never left alone to our own devices, God is always with us, always watching and always ready to protect us in HIS way.
First and foremost, the most popular verse in the Bible is Philippians chapter 4 verse 13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 6 says “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Exodus chapter 15 verse 2 says “The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.”
I know, I know I’ve repeated this one probably a hundred times or more but it’s another of my favorites because it’s true, 1st Corinthians chapter 10 verse 13 says “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 7 says “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
For there is no pain, no weakness, no fear, or temptation that is foreign to God, and in every battle, he is there, strengthening you, carrying you, and protecting you from the worst of it all. If your time comes that you are called from this Earth to serve HIM in a higher capacity, to serve with a more directed purpose, then something was going to befall you that would have been much more difficult for you to handle, and he saved you from that pain. God doesn’t take anyone without a reason or purpose.
John chapter 11 verse 25 says “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live.”
John chapter 14 verses 1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you myself, that where I am you may be also.”
1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 51-54 “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
You see brothers and sisters God will be with us always, throughout our lives, through our passing, and we will be transformed, glorified, and redeemed only through the Father, only through the Great Spirit, can we find peace, love, and happiness. There are no other gods in history that first of all have lived forever, they’ve all succumbed to death, and secondly could ever promise eternal glory and happiness.
Our Father loves us so much that rather than demanding praise and worship through fear-mongering and enslavement, gave us free will and the ability to grow in wisdom and spiritual maturity. HE allows us to make decisions every day that can bring us prosperity or be our undoing, Our Father loves us so much HE even sent HIS own son to earth, to walk among the men and women and be of the world but also apart from it.
No matter what you’re going through today, no matter the troubles you are facing, no matter what your plate may be filled with give it to God, just hand it all over to HIM and let HIM deal with all your problems and troubles, you see he wants you too. God doesn’t want you to face these things alone and sometimes, in certain circumstances, HE will allow it to get harder and harder until we realize we truly need HIM, need HIS strength and HIS wisdom to get through that which troubles us the most.
The point of this message today is that God loves us, and HE needs us just as much as we need HIM, He needs us to come to HIM, to call HIS name when things get rough, He needs us to know that HE is there and that HE will be with us always.
We need to understand that God is not the end-all to everything, He can’t wave a magic wand and instantly fix everything in our lives, I mean HE could, but God’s powers are not magical they’re Divine and if he fixed every single problem in the world today and made this earth a utopia of love and peace where would the free will be? Where would faith, and our belief be? You see, we can’t have it both ways, either God fixes everything then we are forced to believe by action and showmanship, or gradually over time our lives get better and it’s because we have a strong relationship with the Almighty.
“Father we know you are there, watching over us, providing the wisdom and strength for us to get through our day to day lives, we know that you watch over us and protect us from those who wish to do us harm, that your ways are the only way to a peaceful, loving society and that you have the ability to heal us and grant us the means to continue humbly through our lives. Father, you are the one we call on when we need help and you are the one we turn to when we need to rejoice for the mercy and grace you’ve given us. There are no words that can explain what you mean to us, and not enough time in the universe to try and describe the feeling we have when we feel your presence and see your mighty works. Please watch over those who know you, and those who have yet to accept you, heal the weak and ill, protect those who need your protection, and grant all who read my sermons deep and restful sleep. In your most holy and most divine name, we pray, Amen”
Go now brothers, go now sisters, go into the world and tell others about what you have heard here today, go in peace, and may joy and good tidings be a blessing for you until we meet again.
