“Father God, we ask that you open our hearts, quiet our minds and prepare us for the lesson you have for us today. We ask you Father to guide our words, fill us with your spirit and help us understand what is said today. You Father, only YOU know what it is that we need to hear, and ONLY YOU can speak it, say it with the authority and understanding that we need, that we crave so deeply, that we may come to know you better and grow closer to YOU faithfully and spiritually. Father God, bless all those who read the lessons that YOU alone grant me, and may all of them bring YOUR people closer to you. Thank YOU, Father God, for the many blessings and grace that YOU grant us, and thank YOU for the mercy that YOU show us. For we were lost, but by YOUR grace we were found, by YOUR mercy we are saved. Hallelujah and praise YOU forevermore, Amen”

Brothers and sisters, I’m going, to be honest with you, the past two weeks I’ve been struggling with what the lesson was going to be. Most of you know by now that I don’t write, I don’t preach, I don’t speak to you unless my lessons are spirit-filled and guided by THE ONE above. Lately, though, I’ve struggled, I really have. Last week's lesson was written Saturday evening, and this week’s as well because I just can’t seem to calm myself enough to hear HIM, our Father, the Great Spirit.

Either I have too much on my mind and can’t seem to just rest and reset, or He’s challenging me as HE challenges each and every one of us. Just like HE tested Job as we learned in our lesson last week. Job was perfect, Loved, and Worshiped God our Father without faltering or getting sidetracked and God allowed Satan into his life to test him.

God tests us every day, whether it’s the slow car in front of us on our way to work, or the barista that gets our order wrong for the fourth time that week, the screaming child on the bus, or a flat tire. We have real struggles, real problems that we have to deal with, but it’s how we deal with them that can either GLORIFY GOD or make HIM ashamed of us. Things we’ll have to ask for forgiveness for later on when we come to our senses and realize what we’ve done or said.

That’s why we have the Holy Bible, the living word of our Father, no matter how old the pages get, no matter how much we age, The Bible will always be there to guide us and give us strength to make it through the rough time, The Bible is our light in the storm, our beacon of hope, much like our Brother Jesus is a light unto our world, The Bible is never faltering, Never outdated, and we can find the answers to our troubles simply by reading the Living Word.

2 Corinthians chapter 12 verses 9 and 10 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

1 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 13 “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

1 Peter chapter 5 verse 10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

James chapter 1 verse 12 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

You can see a pattern forming here, just as I do, as we struggle, as we enter those dark times in our lives, God is there to strengthen us, to guide us with HIS REDEEMING LIGHT. We don’t have to struggle alone. Many of us not only have the Father to draw strength from, but we have our family and our friends because no matter how bad things get, they love us and are always there for us.

Proverbs chapter 18 verse 24 says “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 11 says “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

Proverbs chapter 27 verses 5 and 6 says “Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.”

No matter what we struggle with, no matter how the enemy attacks us, WE brothers, and sisters, WE have to keep going, keep fighting, and keep drawing strength from the ONE who created us, the ONE who we sing praises for, THE ONE who DELIVERED US FROM DARKNESS INTO THE LIGHT THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. HE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR US, WATCH OVER US, AND BLESS US.

We will be VICTORIOUS, always, because of our Father, because of HIS SON, even if we fall, even if we succumb to the stress and heartache of THIS WORLD, WE ARE STILL VICTORIOUS because we have eternal life, an eternal vacation that is promised to us, our brother Yeshua conquered death then went ahead of each and every one of us to prepare a room in HIS Father’s house, where we will dawn a new body, where illness, weakness, darkness, worry, struggle, and the concerns of this earthly plane can no longer bear it’s weight down upon us and make us feel like we have failed.

The promises that JESUS made to us, the new covenant HE made with us, I can only imagine the glory and beauty that await us, but just because death overcomes, doesn’t mean we have failed, it just means for us the battle is over, and we can finally rest. Amen? Yes brothers and sisters, Amen!

Isn’t that such a wonderful thing, I mean, we are blessed every day, we are shown mercy, and even during the test, we’re allowed to “cheat” by drawing strength from the test giver, and our “lifelines” become our friends and family, and when all else seems to us like it’s failing, we are clothed anew and given rest and relaxation and never have to worry about pain, illness and worry ever again, So the next time you are going through a storm, the next time you feel alone, and you’re struggling, just remember we all do, and we are NOT alone, and WE WILL BE TRIUMPHANT, no matter what.

“Father bless us, walk with us, carry us, and grant us YOUR strength to keep fighting the good fight, let all we say and do, all of our interactions glorify you, bless those who have come to know you, and draw near those who have yet to hear your words, watch over the faithful, and show mercy to the faithless, those who are lukewarm Christians, and those who are in a steadfast relationship with you, let those who truly love you radiate that love and show others through our actions and our struggles who you are that they may come to know you more. Thank you, Father, for all you have done, and all that you will do. May we sing of your praises forever and always, Amen.”
