Who is God, and what does he want with me?

Good morning brothers and sisters, and a very big hello to all my #RebelFam and #RebelArmy before we begin let us open in prayer,

“Father God, we love you, we cry out to you, Proclaim in YOUR HOLY NAME that YOU are our Father, our Savior, OUR SALVATION, and without YOU, our life is meaningless, we know each and every blessing you have granted us, and we thank you, Father God, for every individual blessing. We thank you for Waking us in the Morning, We thank you for bringing us together, we thank you, FATHER, for the Air in our Lungs, and we thank you for the earth, the sky, the trees, and the bees, we thank you for life, but most of all we thank you for the Salvation granted to us by the Death and Resurrection of your son JESUS CHRIST, we ask that you open our hearts, and prepare our minds for the lesson you have for us today, that we leave here with a deeper understanding of who you are and what you have done and what you will do, we ask that you bring new meaning, more followers, and a clearer concept as to all that you are, and all your people say, Amen”

Welcome everyone, if this is your first time with us here online, we thank you for your time, and we appreciate you, we hope you find comfort, salvation, and understanding in our lesson today, and we hope you come back and join us again next week.

If Anyone feels compelled or called to tithe as the bible says we should, please keep us in mind as we work hard to help those in need within our local communities. All the information is at the bottom of our lesson today.

Our bible reading this morning comes from 1st John chapter 3: verse 1 through 24 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

11 For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil, and his brothers were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”

It's a long one, but this passage explains exactly what our religion is all about. What our Relationship is all about, the reason I’m talking about this particular subject today is that earlier in the week I bumped into someone who said they weren’t exactly against religion or God, they just didn’t understand what it was about, they have a hard time grasping the concept, that no matter how bad we are, no matter how bad things get, no matter our circumstances, our faults, OUR BROKENNESS, Brothers and sisters, God loves us, unconditionally, HE sent his own SON to die on the cross so we would know peace, love, salvation, and most importantly FORGIVENESS.

And that’s truly what this is all about, what our FATHER GOD is, LOVE and FORGIVENESS Brothers and sisters. I mean that’s truly what it all boils down to, unconditional love, and through that love, there’s sadness, because of sacrifice, but because there was sacrifice, there is forgiveness. The message can’t get any simpler than that.

There is a song I just recently discovered, HE IS by Aaron and Jeffery, and I highly recommend if you get the chance today, or sometime during the week to sit and listen to it, fully listen, close your eyes, turn the volume up, the greatest song I’ve come to love Brothers and Sisters.

Just to give you an Idea some of the lyrics go,

In Genesis, He's the breath of life

In Exodus, the Passover Lamb

In Leviticus, He's our High Priest

Numbers, The fire by night

Deuteronomy, He's Moses' voice

In Joshua, He is salvation's choice

Judges, lawgiver

In Ruth, the kinsmen-redeemer

First and Second Samuel, our trusted prophet

In Kings and Chronicles, He's sovereign

Ezra, true and faithful scribe

Nehemiah, He's the rebuilder of broken walls and lives

In Esther, He's Mordecai's courage

In Job, the timeless redeemer

In Psalms, He is our morning song

In Proverbs, wisdom's cry

Ecclesiastes, the time, and season

In the Song of Solomon, He is the lover's dream

Isn’t just amazing, awesome that we have music to listen to, to inspire us, but also to educate us, help us along our way while we navigate the oceans of life. This song is just so perfect for the lesson today and I highly recommend adding it to your playlists.

I can’t make this any simpler than it already is, but we need to inform the people, we need to share the word of God, we need to go out to the people and proclaim HE IS.

HE IS love, HE IS forgiveness, HE IS salvation and redeemer, HE IS our voice, HE IS our builder and rebuilder, HE IS our restoration as we spoke on last week. Without God in our lives, Without God watching over us in this life, we couldn’t be here. There are just too many variables, too many perfect “accidents” to all just be a coincidence. There is an intelligent designer and that and Devine Caretaker is our Father in Heaven, Our God and He calls to each and every one of us to share his word.

In Mark chapter 16 verses 15 and 16, it says “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

Matthew chapter 28 verse 19 commands us to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 2 prepares us for what is coming and instructs us to be ready no matter the season we should stand vigilant at all times “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”

Joshua chapter 1 verse 9 says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

We are told, we are commanded to go out and tell people who God is and share with them HIS story, HIS TESTAMENT, and ours, to share with others why our Father God is so important and what HE and HE ALONE can do for each and every one of us.

After our lesson today if anyone is still confused or doesn’t quite understand who God is, what HE has done for each of us, and you need to speak with me privately please feel free to email me TheChristianRebel@gmail.com. I’ll be happy to help you and guide you, my door is always open.

“Father God, We thank you for your Son, for our lesson today, and for our brothers and sisters who have given their time to read and spend time in your word with us today. Father God, we ask that you heal all who are suffering from illness, pain, disease, discomfort, cancers, and viruses, we ask that you shower us with your love, your forgiveness, and your mercy. We ask that you watch over each and every one of us as we go about our week and protect us until we all meet again, by your grace hopefully next Sunday. We ask that you feed the poor, warm the cold, grant strength to the weak, and protect the innocent. Thank you, Lord, Amen”
